"Test Hatch"
A fairly successful hatch, out of 10 eggs 7 developed fully. I call it the test hatch because it is the first generation that came from my birds only. 70 percent hatch rate is alot better than the 50 percent from when I did polish. I looks like I got 2 blacks, 2 splash and 1 blue out of the five that hatched so far.

Update
The first batch of my heritage Jersey Giants began to hatch today. I will be at Baby Animal Day at Buchanan Cellers here in Mcminnville. I will have a coop there for sale but no chicks this time.
The event will be on April 2. It is also a great place to bring the family, they will have a range of baby animals there to look at. I hope to see you there.
